ChemCARE Consulting Pty Ltd was established in March 1991 to provide a service to assist the management of industrial, agricultural, educational and Government enterprises to carry out their safety and environmental protection responsibilities towards the community, employees and shareholders.

The regulations covering safety, occupational health and environmental protection are manifold and continually changing. Ignorance of the demands of the law is usually a poor defence in the case of litigation. Company Directors expect the members of senior management of the organisation to ensure that liabilities in these areas are not created by the Company, particularly offences for which directors are ultimately responsible in law. ChemCARE can help the busy manager to ensure that obligations are met.

A risk management approach is recommended. As some level of risk to employees, the public or the environment is unavoidable, no matter how small, an examination of your risk exposures may be needed. It is then possible to set priorities for action to implement or improve the measures necessary, to arrive at an acceptable level of residual risk. To control risk, every organisation needs an effective Safety and Environment Management System.
